Felix Heisel has been invited to lecture at the Sustainable Building Materials Summit and Exhibition in Karlsruhe. The talk Kreislaufgerechtes Bauen – Entwerfen, Konstruieren und Bewirtschaften des Materiallagers Stadt will discuss the importance of a paradigm shift in architectural design when understanding the built environment as the resource for future construction. The event is scheduled for June 18, 2020 and accompanied by an exhibition of sustainable building materials.

The SBM Summit (Sustainable Building Materials) is the first specialist congress and accompanying exhibition for sustainable and ecological materials for the construction and extension of buildings. The expert meeting brings together architects, civil engineers and manufacturers to inform and exchange information on sustainable building materials. The programme of lectures and workshops is accompanied by an exhibition of suppliers of sustainable materials. In addition, materials researchers will present the latest research results in special material shows. The SBM Summit is organised by Messe Karlsruhe in close cooperation with numerous partners, including the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), Fraunhofer IRB, the Bund deutscher innenarchitekten e.V. (bdia), the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the materials database raumPROBE and the Steinbeis Transferzentrum INTERZERT.
